Well, to be honest, we have no idea. It sounds like a cool word, I mean, that is what really matters, right? We like it as a nice name for basically everything – a website, an author, a cyber-existence, a spot where nobody really visit? However, we want more out of such a name.
We often refer an idea of “coldspot spirit”, it is some sort of weird feeling – evolved into a sense of standard when it comes to judging whether something is suitable to be posted in the name of coldspot. This spirit is not well-defined, which is harsh to be accepted by maths or physics students. Yet that is right, coldspot spirit is about accepting. I wanted to explain that as a sense that something is not widely accepted, unpopular or alternative. However, the moment when we wanted to upload anything and judge if it is unpopular or alternative, it is already an intend seeking acceptance. You see what I mean?
This is indeed stupid. And I don’t want to talk about seeking acceptance of those who have the same interest. Thus, I guess this term will remain undefined for some more while. For now, I accept it as an acceptance for not being accepted.
